The study aimed to describe the level of obedience and violations of language politeness in the December 2020 edition of the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) program. The data source for this research was Karni Ilyas as the host and resource person as the executor of the discussion in the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) tvOne program. This study employed three research stages, the first of which is the observation method with the SBLC technique and the writing technique, which is the first method and technique for collecting data. The second is methods and techniques of data analysis by a pragmatic equivalent method with the basic technique of Determinant Sorting (PUP). The third is an informal presentation method namely the methods of presenting the findings of data analysis. The results of this study are the violation and compliance with maxims and the level of politeness of speech based on the language politeness scale. More adherence to the principles of politeness in language has been implemented in the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) tvOne program. (1) loss and gain scale, (2) choice scale, (3) indirectness scale, (4) authority scale, and (5) social distance scale.
