The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of financial learning in the
college and family financial education on financial behavior with financial
literacy as an intervening variable. The sample of this study is the students of the
Faculty of Economics and Business College in Purwokerto who have taken
courses in Financial Management. The number of respondents was 100 students.
Sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling. The data analysis
technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. The results showed that
financial learning in the college has a positive and significant effect towards
financial literacy, family financial education has a positive and significant effect
towards financial literacy, financial learning in the college has a positive and
significant effect towards financial behavior, family financial education has a
positive and significant effect towards financial behavior, financial literacy has
positif and not significant effect towards financial behavior, financial literacy not
able to mediate financial learning in the college towards financial behavior, and
financial literacy not able to mediate family financial education towards financial
behavior.
