This study aimed to describe the forms of dysphemism based on the types of words, phrases, and clauses and to describe the causes of dysphemism in a speech on the Ragam Perkara news program on Tv One on YouTube uploaded in February 2020. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source was obtained from the news program Ragam Perkara Tv One on YouTube uploaded in February 2020. The method used in this study was the listening method and the technique used was the observation nonparticipatory method (SBLC). The data in this study were analyzed using distributional method with substitution, deletion, inserting techniques and the referential comparative method. The results of this study showed that (1) the form of dysphemism in the Tv One news program Ragam Perkara on YouTube uploaded in February 2020 was found in the form of nouns, original verbs, derivative verbs, adjectives, exocentric phrases, endocentric phrases, coordinative phrases, and free clauses. (2) the causes of dysphemism in the Tv One news program Ragam Perkara on YouTube uploaded in February 2020 were found to be six, namely, stating taboo, indecent, immoral, showing dislike, disagreeing with someone or something, negative portrayal of someone or something, showing disrespect or belittling someone, exaggerating things, and showing low-value things.
