The research entitled "Analysis of Language Styles in the Song Lyrics of the Pee
wee Gaskins Group Band" aims to describe the types of language styles found in the
lyrics of the Pee wee gaskins group band song. This research is descriptive research.
The form in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source for the song lyrics
from the 2016 album, namely A Youth Not Wasted and the Salute To 90's album which
was released in 2018. The research method used is descriptive method which is
qualitative in nature because there is no numerical statistical data but the data is only
in the form of words. The data analyzed in this study were song lyrics from the Pee
Wee Gaskins band group. The technique in this research is divided into three stages,
namely the stage of providing data, the stage of data analysis, and the stage of
presenting the results of data analysis. The results of the study showed that there are
several types of language styles contained in the lyrics of the Pee wee gaskins song,
namely Metaphor, Hyperbole, Smile, Allegory, litotes, personification, paranomasia.
Meanwhile, other language styles are not found in the song title, which is analyzed on
the song lyrics of the 2016 album, A Youth Not Wasted and the album Salute To 90's
which was released in 2018. This research proves that in the song lyrics there are
many language styles found. But it has not been discussed the meaning resulting from
the use of these language styles. The discussion about the meaning of using language
style in song lyrics can be used as a discussion in further research.
