This research aimed to find out the condition of the implementation of adiwiyata
program through Pancasila and Civic Education learning in improving students'
environmental care in SMA N 1 Banyumas. This research used a descriptive
method with qualitative approach and the data were collected using interviews,
observation, and documentation. The subjects in this research included students,
Pancasila and Civic Education teacher, school principal, and the chief of
adiwiyata program. The data analysis included data collection, data reduction,
data display, and verification. The results revealed that the implementation of
adiwiyata program through Pancasila and Civic Education was shown through
the learning process that always inserted environmental insight, the teacher that
gave understanding, motivation, and exemplary about environmental care to
students, and the environmental activities in collaboration with society to
preserve the environment. The problems faced included the students who were
less aware of the environment that mostly happened on tenth-grade students.
Another problem was the fact that each student had a different family and
character backgrounds. The efforts done to solve the problems included
understanding, motivation, and exemplary about the environment that was given
by the teacher and environmental activities held by the school in collaboration
with society to create environmental care.
