Abstract

This was a classroom action research to solve the problems in the classroom which aimed to improve early writing skills through the implementation of the SAS learning method on the second year students of BA Aisyiyah Larangan Pangadegan Purbalingga in the academic year of 2021/2022. The subjects of this research were
5 students on second-year students of BA Aisyiyah Larangan consisting of 3 males and 2 females. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of three meetings in each cycle. Cycle I was conducted on December 2-6, 2021, and cycle
II was conducted on December 8-13, 2021. The stages of each cycle included
planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data were collected using observation and data analysis including qualitative, quantitative, and graphic data. The results of the cycle I found that 1 student (20%) developed as expected and no student developed very well. Meanwhile, the results of cycle II found 2 students (40%) developed as expected and 2 students (40%) developed very well. Therefore, it can be concluded that the early writing skill has improved from 40% in cycle I to
80% in cycle II which proves that the implementation of SAS learning method is able to make the students writing skill easier to be understood and implemented.
