This study aims to determine the effect of online learning benefits on the reading
comprehension of biographical texts in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sampang. This is a
quantitative descriptive study using the ex post facto method. The sampling technique
used was simple random sampling technique by involving 30 students as respondents.
Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and tests. The analysis used is
simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS 20 program. The results of
descriptive analysis shows the benefits variable of online learning is in the medium
category of 63.3%. Meanwhile, the variable of reading comprehension of biographical
text was moderate at 66.7%. From the results of the research, it shows the benefits of
online learning contributed 14.3% to the reading comprehension variable of
biographical texts. While 85.7% is influenced by other factors including internal factors
and external factors that affect the reading comprehension of biographical texts.
