The most popular cosmetic in the public is hair dye. In hair dye there are many ingredients that can irritate the skin, one of them is the use of synthetic dye. Irritation to the skin, dryness of the hair and cause liver damage are the problems in the use of synthetic dye. This study aimed to determine the irritation of noni’s root extract hair dye cream. Maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent used in noni’s root extraction process. Noni’s root extract was formulated into type oil/water cream as much as 3 formulations with concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5%. The result of this study showed that the 3 formulations of noni’s root extract cream had outcomes which fulfill organoleptic requirements, homogeneity, diffusion test, pH, viscosity, adhesion and there was no phase separation. Noni’s root extract cream formulation with 7.5% concentration does not cause skin irritation.
