This research aimed to: 1) analyze production factors that affected the production of potatoes in Kutabawa, 2) analyze the technical efficiency of the use of potatoes farming production factors, 3) analyze the allocative efficiency of potatoes farming production factors. The method of this research was survey with purposive sampling to take the samples. The analysis of this research was quantitative using the analysis of production function Cobb-Douglas type. The data were analyzed using SPSS application.
The results showed that the production factor of seeds and organic fertilizer was significantly effective toward the production of potatoes which meant in every addition on the input of seeds and organic fertilizer, there would be increase on the production. The production factor of land area and organic fertilizer had reached the technical efficiency and the production factor of seeds and organic fertilizer still needed to be increased in order to achieve allocative efficiency.
