Land productivity is an agricultural carrying capacity in producing foodstuffs. The objective of this research was to find out the productivity and the factors affecting the land productivity of paddy fields in the Sub-district of Salem, Bantarkawung, Banjarharjo, and Kersana. This research used purposive sampling and interviews with the farmers and the variables included production, land area, irrigation, soil pH, fertilizer, pest attack, weeding, labor, rainfall, and technology. The data were analyzed using GIS (Geographic Information System) with IDW method to produce a distribution map. The results show that the land productivity of paddy fields in Salem Sub-district was 3.5 tons/ha, Bantarkawung Sub-district was 2.9 tons/ha, Banjarharjo Sub-district was4.4 tons/ha, and Kersana Sub-district was 5.4 tons/ha. The factors affecting the land productivity of paddy fields in Salem Sub-district included: the intensity of pest attack, urea fertilizing, phonska fertilizing, education, and technology; in Bantarkawung Sub-district included: the intensity of pest attack, the intensity of disease attack, and phonska fertilizing; in Banjarharjo Sub-district included: soil pH, the intensity of pest attack, and phonska fertilizing; and in Kersana Sub-district included: soil pH, urea fertilizing, and the use of technology.
