Abstract
The Center for Superior Livestock Breeding and Forage Forage
(BBPTUHPT) Baturraden is located in Kemutug Lor Village, Baturraden District,
Banyumas, Central Java. It has a Biogas Power Plant that uses biogas fuel from
cow dung which is renewable energy and the plant is rarely operated. Most of the
livestock manure is used as manure, even though it is known that livestock manure
has the potential to generate electricity and can be useful to meet electricity needs
at the Center for Superior Animal Breeding and Forage for Animal Feed
(BBPTUHPT).
The purpose of this research is to calculate the potential of the biogas
produced and the production of electricity in the village of Kemutug Lor,
Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency. As an evaluation, it is known that 232
(holdstein fries), one cow produces 25 kg of manure/day through anaerobic
fermentation process in the digester for a total time span of 25-30 days resulting
in a biogas production of 46.4 m³ / day. The amount of biogas, if converted into
electrical energy, has the potential to produce 218.08 kWh/day with an output
power of 9.087 KWh.
