Abstract

his study aimed to find out the process of providing coconut waste raw materials needed by craftsmen. The research was located in Purbalingga Wetan Village, Purbalingga Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency. A descriptive method with a quantitative approach was adopted. Interviews, observations, and documentation were used to collect data. Purposive sampling was utilized, with a sample of 30 craftspeople chosen based on specified criteria The data analysis used was descriptive quantitative data analysis with tabulated data to determine the business profile of the coconut waste craftsman group, the types of raw materials used in the production process, price fluctuations for each type of raw material from 2018 to 2020, and raw material volume availability using the formula K. The age, education level, number of dependents in the family, and length of business and employment are all factors in the profiles of craftspeople in this study. Coconut shells and coconut wood were the raw materials used by the 30 respondents. Overall, the price of coconut waste raw materials, including both coconut shell and coconut wood, fluctuates or changes year to year. The availability of coconut shell raw materials and coconut wood, in general, is not in limited supply because nearly half of the production can be satisfied. Coconut shells are primarily sourced through local coconut sellers, markets, and collectors. Coconut wood is obtained from coconut woodcutter craftsmen and collectors..
