This research aimed to know the sixth semester students‟ errors in
translating from English to Indonesian of English Education Department. The
research used descriptive qualitative survey. The technique of collecting data was
test. The participants of this study were sixth semester students of English
Education Department academic years 2018/2019. The research findings of the
research revealed that in general, the majority of the sixth semester students‟ had
the ability to translate text from English to Indonesia well. In general, the result
showed that mostly some students did errors in the cultural error.
