Income is earnings received by the community for their work performance
during a certain period, either daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Interest is a
tendency to give attention and act to people, activities or situations that become
objects.
This study aimed to find out pine sap tappers on the interest in sending children to
school in Parungkamal Village, Lumbir Sub-District of Banyumas Regency. The
populations in this study were pine sap tappers. The sample technique used is
Total Sampling which was taken based on the number of existing populations
with a total of 30 pine sap tappers. Questionnaire was used as data collection
technique, it was about the income data and interest in sending children to school.
After collecting this questionnaire, it was then scaled. The analysis in this study
used statistical analysis with the Pearson Product Moment formula significant
level of 1%. It obtained the value of r count > r table or 0.627 > 0.463 in the high
interpretation category, meaning that there is a sufficient correlation between the
effect of income and the interest in sending children to school.
