Abstract
The background of this study is the lack of student education activities, the condition of the background of the parents “Ngalas” at SD Negeri Sawangan Jeruklegi, Cilacap Regency. This study aims to analyze the learning activities of students with “Ngalas” parental backgrounds at SD Negeri Sawangan Jeruklegi, Cilacap Regency. The research subjects are 5 students with different activities, parents of students, and teachers who are used as informants. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative phenomenological method. The process of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that students with "Ngalas" parental backgrounds are active or inactive. Active students are always enthusiastic in participating in learning, actively answering, able to ask questions and submit assignments on time, while inactive students only answer greetings, listen, observe and read the subject matter. Learning activities of high school students aren’t so influenced by the work background of parents, there are other factors that influence it. The conclusion of this study is that the learning activities of students from “Ngalas” parents at SD Negeri Sawangan Jeruklegi, Cilacap Regency are influenced by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include students' learning enthusiasm, student personality, and student independence, while external factors include lack of attention from parents of students, lack of student learning facilities, teacher creativity, and student environment.
