This study aimed to determine the characteristics and quality of land in the study area and land suitability classes for watermelon in Losari Coast, Brebes. The method used in this study was a survey with a population of 4 agricultural lands. The sampling technique used a sampling area. This study used primary data, namely the effective depth of soil (soil solum), soil pH, texture, inundation, and water salinity while the secondary data were in the form of annual rainfall data, soil type map, data on CEC Soil, slope, drainage, and C-Organic of Losari Coastal. The data were analyzed using a matching method which was matching the data on land quality and land characteristics in the Losari Coast of Brebes Regency with the suitability of the land for the requirements for growing watermelon plants. The result of this study showed that there was 1 class of land suitability for watermelon plants in Losari Coast, Brebes Regency, namely S3 (according to marginal). However, the class S3 land suitability has obstacles including very low C-Organic (1), obstructed drainage, and inundation (O2 / 1 month).
