Speaking is one of English skill which is very important to be learned when we want to master English. Speaking is not a talent skill, but this is a skill that must be acquired by practicing, trying hard to produce many kinds of words little by little continuously and seriously in order to speak well. This research was aimed to know the speaking problems, as well as to find out the most influenced problem among the students with low level speaking achievement. Case study was used as the method of this research. To investigate the speaking problems from those students with low level speaking achievement, four respondents were interviewed and observed. Furthermore, a lecturer was also interviewed to gain additional data regarding students’ speaking problem and habits during speaking class. Analysis data from interview and observation showed that there were some problems faced by students in speaking that related to the speaking performance and students’ feeling. Furthermore, the data also showed that the most dominant problem among the students with low level speaking achievement namely lack of vocabulary and self confidence.
