Antibiotics is the mostly used drugs related to infections case. Excessive
use of antibiotics and in inappropriate cases will cause antimicrobial resistance.
This study was purposed to determine the level of antibiotic prescribing in
Puskesmas 1 sokaraja in the period of 2017 using the Anatomical Therapeutic
Chemical (ATC) method combined with Defined Daily Dose (DDD). This
research was a descriptive research using a cross sectional design. The sampling
technique was purposive sampling. It was obtained from medical records of inpatients
at Public Health Center 1 Sokaraja in the period of 2017 who received
antibiotic therapy. From 163 medical records that received antibiotic therapy,
there were 105 medical records that met the inclusion criteria. The result showed
that patients most suffer from infectious diseases, namely male patients with a
total of 50.5% and 49.5% female. The age group with the most infections was at
the age of 18-27 years. The quantity of antibiotic with the ATC / DDD method,
total of DDD was 54.1 / 100 patient-days with the largest DDD value on
amoxycillin antibiotics which was 27.4 DDD / 100 patient-days.
