Abstract

Antacids are a combination of aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide which are used in the treatment of gastritis so that antacid preparations are expected to have a fast effect, therefore antacids are made FDT. FDT tablets have the characteristic of being destroyed quickly due to the presence of superdisintegran material. The superdisintegran used in this study were sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and Avicel PH 101. The optimum formula was obtained with a concentration of 38.79% SSG and Avicel PH 101 101.21%. The effectiveness of disintegration time and acid neutralizing capacity is influenced by the way superdisintegran material is added. Therefore this study is intended to optimize the composition of intragranular and extragranular comparisons with the simplex lattice design method. This study uses 2 variables, namely intragranular and extragranular with a range of 0-100% so that we get 8 run formulas. Tablets were made using wet granulation and tested for physical properties and acid neutralizing capacity. The data obtained were analyzed and optimized using Design Expert 11.0 software. The results showed that a combination of intragranular and extragranular can accelerate disintegration time and increase acid neutralization capacity. The optimum composition comparison obtained using Design Expert 11.0 software SLD method is 48,19% intragranular and 51,80% extragranular with a desirability value of 0,363.
