The aim of this research is to describe the life‟s attitude pf Javanese People in
Genduk Novel by Sundari Mardjuki. This research is a descriptive qualitative whit the
object of Javanese people in Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki. The Approach that is used
is literature sosilogy. Date of the research are the text which are from words,
sentences, and the expression that is conatin the life‟s attitude of Javanese People by
Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki. The source of the date that is used in this research are
reading and writing technic. The technic of date analysis in this research is devided
into three steps, they are date reduction, date presentation, and drawing conclusion
technic. The result and the description shows that the life‟s attitude of Javanese
Peopple found in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki are: (1) attitude „eling‟
include: (a) remember of Allah, (b) in alert, (2) attitude „nrima‟ include: (a) grateful to
Allah, (b) sincerely accept the situation, (3) attitude mituhu include: (a) have a faith to
Allah, (b) do shalat, (c) read Al Quran, (d) teach children of reciting, (e) do adzan, (4)
attitude helping each other, and (5) attitude of patience include: (a) not easily give up,
(b) accept the temptation, (c) relieved feeling.
