This research aimed to investigate the role of Civic Education learning in developing students' civic disposition on environmental care, to reveal the obstacles in the implementation of Civic Education learning in developing students' civic disposition on environmental care, and to resolve the obstacles in the implementation of Civic Education learning in developing students' civic disposition on environmental care. This research applied the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through interviews, observations, document collections, and literature study. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display/presentation, conclusion, and verification. The results showed that Civic Education learning played a significant role in developing students' civic disposition on environmental care that it created private and public characters on the students. However, there were some obstacles faced by teachers such as performing lecturing method too often during the learning process, using classroom voice too softly, writing too fast on the whiteboard, and dealing with noisy class. Moreover, students found it difficult to grasp the materials, performed less-care on the environment, showed less-participation on Adiwiyata program and found it hard to differentiate types of garbage. To resolve the obstacles, students needed to focus, warned their peers to keep quiet, took notes of the materials and asked directly about the unclear materials. Moreover, teachers needed to remind the students, Adiwiyata team, and 8K to create cadres. It was also needed socialization and supervision form the education authorities.
