Abstract

This study aims to prove empirically abaout the effect of leverage, sales
growth and current ratio on financial distress in property and real estate
manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018.
The theory used is the signalling theory developed by Brigham and Houtson
(2001). The method used is quantitative with purposive sampling as a sampling
technique. This study uses multiple linear regression alalysis throught SPSS 23
analysis tools. Based on the result of the study show that leverage has a negative
effect on financial distress and the current ratio has a positive effect on financial
distress. While sales growth doest not affect financial distress.
