The study was supported by low responsibility attitude and achievement of students. This study aimed to improve the attitude of responsibility and learning achievement of students through Team Quiz method assisted by smart box media. Team Quiz method was an active learning method which could improve students' responsibility in a fun way. The subjects of this study were grade IV of SD 02 Grobog Kulon, which consisted of 20 students from 11 male students and 9 female students. The study was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle run in two meetings. This study implemented Kemmis and Mc. Taggart design, which each cycle consisted of 4 stages; planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection tools used were tests, teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets, student responsibility attitude questionnaires, and student responsibility attitude sheets. The improvement could be seen from each cycle proven from the percentage of students responsibility score obtained from the observation sheet. It illustrated that the first cycle gained 50.5 with 50.5% of learning completeness or fair criteria, and it escalated in cycle II to 65.5 or 65.5% in good criteria. It was supported by the questionnaire which presented the average score of responsibility attitude of 3.14 in good criteria in the first cycle and in the second cycle raised to 3.59 in very good criteria. The results of student evaluation tests experienced an increase of learning mastery on social studies from 52.2% in cycle I with fair category to 80.5% or good category. In Indonesian subject material, it showed 55.5% in fair category which increased to 80.5% in good category. The results of this study indicated that the use of Team Quiz method assisted by smart box media was able to improve the students' responsibility and learning achievement on Theme 8 in Grade IV of SDNegeri 02 Grobog Kulon
