The background of this study was the lack of students' reading comprehension skill and learning achievement on finding the implicit meaning of a text through intensive reading in primary school. This study aimed to improve students' reading comprehension skill and learning achievement of Bahasa Indonesia on finding the implicit meaning of a text through intensive reading using cooperative learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) type by using media flip chart. This was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles. This research procedure referred to Kemmis & amp; Mc Taggart model which included planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of this study was the sixth graders of SD Negeri 1 Kedungwid Kidul that contained 28 students; 17 male students and 11 female students. The instruments used in this research were teacher and student observation sheets, the assessment of oral comprehension, and student evaluation sheets. The results of this study indicated an increase in students' reading comprehension skill in cycle I that achieved 46.42% learning mastery and in cycle II rose to 89.28%. For students' achievement in cycle I, the average score was 69.28 with 64.28% learning mastery and rimproved in cycle II with an average score was 79.64 with learning mastery reached 89.28%.
