This study was aimed at finding out (1) the students’ perception toward the role of
learning media in learning process and finding out (2) the students’ preference toward learning
media in learning process. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 01 Maos. In this
research, the researcher adopted descriptive as the research method. The research instruments
to collect data were questioner, observation and interview. All the data were analyzed through
quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The subject of this research was
tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 01 Maos. Questioner as the main data to find out the
students perception toward learning media, before taking the data researcher do observation.
Beside that researcher did interview to support the main data.. Based on the result, the
researcher concluded that students’ perception toward learning media had positive perception
and video was choosen by students mostly.
