This research aims to describe various transcendental aspects in Berlayar ke Surga novel. The object of this research is transcendental aspect in the novel using religious approach in linguistics. This research employs descriptive qualitative. The words used in this research are text quotation having transcendental aspects. Source of the data consists of primary and secondary data. The primary data is Berlayar ke Surga novel written by Ramadha Tsulatsi Hajar, meanwhile the secondary data are books, journals, articles relating to transcendental aspects research. The data collection used by the researcher is both reading and writing techniques. The data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results reveal that there are some transcendental aspects in this novel such as 1) khauf aspect (fear feeling),2) raja' aspect (hope), 3) tawakal aspect (surrender to Allah SWT) , 4) gratitude, and 5) sincere. Those five aspects are described through five characters in this novel, for instance Muhammad Iqbal Ryandianta (Iqbal), Cut Sukma Ryandianti (Sukma), Zahra dan Najla.
