The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of cue card for teaching speaking at the seventh grade students of SMP N 04 Banjarnegara in Academic Year 2011/2012.
This research was carried out at the class VII A and VII B of SMP N 04 Banjarnegara in Academic Year 2011/2012. The population was 168 students of six classes. The data collection technique used speaking test. To analyze data, the writer used t-test.
The computation showed that t-test was higher than t-table. It means that the hypothesis was accepted and it can be stated that cue card was effective in teaching speaking at seventh grade students of SMP N 04 Banjarnegara, in Academic Year 2011/2012.
