Abstract

RISSA EKA SUSANTI. Imunostimulant Test of Rosela Flower Ethanolic Extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) to the Macrophaga phagocyitosis Activity and Flavonoid Compound Detection. Under direction of DINIATIK and SUPARMAN. Background : Human need imunostimulant for increase the quality of imune system to confront some infection deseases. Imunostimulant is the materials which can increase performance of imune system element of human. Flavonoid in plants have function as imunostimulan. Rosela flowers had contains flavonoid so that its expected to have imunostimulant. Objective : The aims of this research was to prove that Rosela flower ethanolic Extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) have imunostimulant effect represented by macrophaga phagocytosis activity, and determine the seconda rymetabolic compounds contained in ethanolic extract of Rosela flower. Methods : The researh used Staphylococcus aureus as respons imune model. Its function as in vivo antigen of macrophaga phagocytosis imunostimulator and latex as in vitro antigen. The phagocytosis ablity was shown by activities and capacyties of macrophag in latex phagocyt. The plant compounds analized used Tin Layer Cromatografy. Result : The observe result of macrophaga morphology after infect by S. Aureus in Levamisol®, Stimuno® and extract dose 100 mg/KgBB, 200 mg/KgBB and 400 mg/KgBB showed presence of macrophaga activated. The increasing of extract dose caused the increasing of macrophaga number which phagocyt of latex and the number of latex which was phagocyt by macrophaga. The macrophaga phagocytosis ablity of flower ethanolic extract in dose 400 mg/KgBb weren’t deference with Stimuno® 9,1 mg/KgBb. Tin Layer Cromatografy showed that flavonoid compound contained in Rosela flower Petals ethanolic extract. Conclution : Rosela flower Petals ethanolic Extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) had imunostimulant effect to the macrophaga’s phagocytosis. Rosela flower Petals ethanolic Extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) contain flavonoid. Key words : Imunostimulant, phagosytosisy, Rosela flower
