Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement students' curiosity
students learning the material recognize the diversity of natural features and
artificial in Indonesia using learning model Snowball Throwing. The subjects of
this research are students fourth grade of SD Negeri 1 Adiarsa Purbalingga
Regency totaling 25 st
udents. Research is a classroom action research who
implemented in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of two meetings. Each
cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection.
Each evaluation meeting was held to determ
ine the impact of curiosity and student
achievement using the test. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis.
Results of research on social studies learning by using learning models Throwing
Snowball can raise curiosity and student achievement. Cu
riosity of students'
learning cycle I to cycle II has increased from 55,93% to 65,40%. And as a result
of curiosity increases, increasing student achievement cycle I 68%, and increased
to 88% in cycle II. It can be concluded that the learning model Snowbal
l
Throwing can improve the curiosity and students achievement IPS in fourth grade
SD Negeri 1 Adiarsa Kertanegara District Purbalingga Regency
