This research entitles “The Effort to Optimize Children’s Gross Motor Through Jump
Hoops Game for The Second Year Kindergartens of BA Aisyiyah Mertasari, Purwanegara
District, Banjarnegara Regency in the Odd Semester of 2013-2014. The research aims to optimize
children’s gross motor through jump hoops game technique.
This is Class Action Research (CAR), the research subject is 14 second year kindergartens
of BA Aisyiyah Mertasari, Purwanegra District, Banjarnegara Regency in the Odd Semester
Academic Year 2013-2014 which consist of 7 males and 7 females. The research procedure is
conducted in 2 cycles which each cycle consists of 3 meetings. The collecting data method is
observation and documentation, while the data analysis method is descriptive technique with
qualitative approach.
The observation result shows there were 2 children or 14.3% in very well development, 2
children or 14.3% in fairly development, 6 children or 42,8% in early development, 4 children or
28.6% in underdevelopment. After cycle I conducted, the development increased quickly; there
were 3 children or 21.42% in very well development, 5 children or 35.71% in fairly development,
4 children or 28.6% in early development, 2 children or 14.3% in underdevelopment. Since the
development level has not been optimal, then cycle II was conducted, in cycle II, the result has
reached optimal which children development level reached 10 children or 71.42% in very well
development, 1 child or 7.14% in fairly development, 2 children or 14.3% in early development,
and 1 child or 7.14% in underdevelopment. For 1 underdeveloped child will be motivated and
guidanced by teacher purposely the gross motor increase.
