This thesis entitled “Main Figures Moralitiy Deconstruction In novel Merpati
Biru by Achmad Munif“. The purpose of this study was to determine the morality
deconstruction of main character in the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif work
which would then be deconstructed.
The method used in this research is descriptive method of analysis, which
examines the morality of the main character, which also deconstruct the morality of
the main character in the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif. This study is
emphasizing the moral deconstruction of the main character. The data used in this
study is novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif which further data is obtained from the
citations contained in this novel. The Secondary data sources in this research are the
theory books and references that can support this research. The researcher tries to
describe the morality of main character in the novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif
using the theory of morality.
Morality is the main character in the novel Merpati Biru is bad, shown by the
attitude is not good, the attitude is not fair, and disrespects. Since, it has no moral
behavior. Further downside of morality is the main character of the novel The Blue
Pigeons object becomes a prostitute, then deconstructed. The results found that the
main character still has behavior immoral shown by the behavior of the attitude of
both the main character novel Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif.
The conclusion of this study related to Morality of Main Figures in the novel
Merpati Biru by Achmad Munif, among others: morality is the main character is
concluded worse by the attitude is not good, the attitude is not fair, and disrespect.
Deconstruction on the morality of the main figures obtained still has good manners
and moral views of either the main character novel attitude Merpati Biru by Achmad
Munif
