Abstract
This research is entitled " Teachers' Perceptions and Knowledge on
Evaluation of Indonesian Language Learning in Grade IV of Primary Schools in
KTSP (Curriculum of Education Unit Level) at UPTD (Technical Execution Unit
of Regional Office) Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency". This quantitative
descriptive study aimed to find out: 1) the perception of primary school teachers
on the evaluation of Indonesian language learning in grade IV by KTSP at UPTD
Karangreja Purbalingga Regency; 2) the knowledge of primary school teachers
on the evaluation of Indonesian language learning in grade IV learning by KTSP
at UPTD Karangreja Purbalingga Regency; 3) the evaluation of Indonesian
Language learning in grade IV by KTSP at UPTD Karangreja Purbalingga
Regency. Questionnaire and knowledge test result were used as primary data with
object of fourth grade teachers at UPTD Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency. The
results showed that: 1) the teachers assumed that evaluation of Indonesia
language learning was: done periodically; usually done in written form;
consisting of language and language skills; not able to replace each other among
the language test; in the assessment rubric; and the most difficult assessment of
cognitive aspect; 2) the whole test of language skills have been done only
partially. From the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that
the perception and knowledge of teachers on the evaluation of Indonesian
Language learning was less synchronous because not all language tests and
language skills were conducted by the teacher. It was recommended that the
teachers of fourth grade in UPTD Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency to review
the evaluation of Indonesian language learning that has been done to improve
better appropriate learning evaluation system, so that the result of learning
evaluation can be used as the basis of information of academic development
of the students.
