Abstract

The quality of concrete mixture materials affects performance of building
structure. Coarse aggregate is one of concrete mixed materials having some size
variation; the size is based on certain needs. It also will affect concrete hardeness
and its durability toward concrete disintergration factors such as weather and
other destructive factors. The research was conducted by comparing concrete
pressure strength using two sizes of coarse aggregate (1/2 and 2/3) with making
three samples for each aggregate size. The sample making used concrete mixer as
the material mixer equipment. Based on the pressure stength test, coarse
aggregate with size 1/2 has the average of pressure strength 27.94 Mpa, while
aggregate with the size of 2/3 has its average pressure strength; it is the closest to
the plan of 27.13 Mpa.
