Abstract

Sirau village is a village in the district karangmoncol purbalingga district with
limited health services. This research was conducted with the aim to identify the
plant and its use as drug by the villagers sirau and identify medicinal plants
typical in this village. This research is descriptive with survey method.
Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique. The technique
of collecting data using a semi structured interview. Research shows of eight
respondents recorded there are 37 species of plants consists of 24 family used as
medicine by the villagers sirau. Plant parts used are Zingiberaceae (5 types);
Euphorbiaceae (3 types); Liliaceae (3 types); Annonaceae, Fabaceae, Myrtaceae,
Piperaceae each 2 types; Achantaceae, Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Caesalpiniaceae,
Caricaceae, Clusiaceae, Convulaceae, Crassulaceae, Lamiaceae, Lauraceae,
Moringaceae, Phyllanthaceae, Poaceae, Rubiaceae, Rutaceae, and
Sellaginelaceae each 1 types. To use medicinal plants with drunk (55,26%);
smeared (13,16%); sticked (10,53%); shed, to shower, eat and tuck each 5,26%.
Herbs typical in Sirau village are sirkaya leaf, katarak plant, winged bean leaf,
sweet potato leaf and plant scribble. It was concluded that the use of medicinal
plant species at most of family Zingiberaceae and how to use medicinal plants at
most with drunk. There are five typical medicinal plants in the village sirau.
