Abstract

Recently, moden stories have been magnets that offer many interesting commodities and attract people’s attention, besides their strategic location, the stories also provide complete daily needs. It indeed becomes a social problem in Banyumas regency especially i,e, competiton between traditional markets and modern ones (Indomart). Modern stores that are located near traditional market are threat for sellers in traditional market. Based on Local Regulation of Banyumas Regional Goverment No.3 of 2010, the establishment of traditional market, shopping center, and modern stores should refer to spatial planning of regency, including its zoning regulation. This thesis analyzed how the local regulation on management and development or traditional market, shopping center, and modern stores (Indomart) is implemented in Banyumas Regency and how the goverment handles the problem among traditional market and modern stores (Indomart). The data of this research were collected from secondary data (literature study) and primary data (field data). Secondary data were obtained by collecting literatures related to the topic such as regulations, books, research result, and articles from internet. Meanwhile, primary data were obtained directly by interviewing the Head of Capital Invesment and Pernit Service Board of Banyumas Regency. Based on the result of the researc, it can be concluded that local regulation of Banyumas Regional Goverment No.3 of 2010 on management and development of traditional market, shopping center, and modern stores (Indomart) has not been maximally implemented. It ws due to terrible service, inaccurate information, and the officer of BPMPP who did not have sufficient capability of information and tecnology (IT).
