This research was entitled “The Act of Emphaty in Novel of Cinta di Ujung
Sajadah By Asma Nadia and The Suggestion of the Implementation Literature
Learning Material in Highschool”. The aim of the study is to describe act of emphaty
in novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia and suggestion of the
implementation as the literature learning in highschool.
The object of the research was act of emphaty in novel of Cinta di Ujung
Sajadah. The method used descriptive analysis method. The approach of psychology.
The data of the research were the text containing act of emphaty in novel Cinta di
Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia.
This result of the research showed that there was act of emphaty in novel Cinta
di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia. The act of emphaty were (1) could accept the
others point of view, place themselves in others position to be able to help others in
correct way, (2) had sensitivity to others feeling then they would care and eager to do
something, and (3) could listen to others, individual could be a good listener and good
interviewer. The act of emphaty in novel of Cinta di Ujung Sajadah by Asma Nadia
could be as the literature material for highschool students in class XI the first
semester.
