Abstract

This study analyzes the symbolism and existential meaning in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, using Jean-Paul Sartre's philosophy of consciousness, freedom, and responsibility. The film depicts Evelyn's existential journey, selfawareness and acceptance. From the results of the analysis of 11 symbolic data shows that Evelyn experiences an identity crisis due to radical freedom in the multiverse world. However, during despair, Evelyn learns that the meaning of life is created through conscious choices and authentic relationships, not from external achievements. Her transformation, from hysterical laughter as a release from absurdity to a conscious decision to love her family, confirms that freedom brings ethical responsibility. The film shows how individuals can create meaning during chaos, by choosing consciously and living authentically. Evelyn represents an existential subject who finds meaning in her imperfect existence, through her freedom and responsibility.
