Abstract

Emotional well-being refers to a state characterized by high levels of positive affect and low levels of negative affect in individuals. It encompasses three aspects: positive affect, negative affect, and life satisfaction. This study aims to describe the emotional well-being of early adults who use online loan services. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was employed in this research. The findings reveal that online loans have predominantly negative impacts on users. The joy experienced during the disbursement of loan funds is temporary and is soon replaced by prolonged anxiety and worry over outstanding loan obligations. Overall, the emotional well-being of all six participants, who are early adults, was disrupted due to their use of online loan services.
