Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of parental attention and student
discipline on students’ IPAS learning achievement in Grade IV of SDN Karangsari,
Sruweng Sub-disdtrict, Kebumen Regency. The research design employed a
quantitative correlation approach. The research subjects consisted 15 students in
Grade IV. The sampling technique utilized in this study was Saturated Sampling.
The research findings indicated that parental attention obtained a validity range
from 0,018 to 0,843 with 25 valid items and a reliability value of 0,869. The
discipline scale’s validity range was from 0,035 to 0,697, with 29 valid items and a
reliability value of 0,812. Data collection methods included questionnaires and
documentation. Based on data analysis result at a significance level of 5%, the
simple correlation analysis of X1-Y peformed an r-value of 0,581, higher than the r�table of 0,514 with a significance value 0,023 < 0,05. Similarly, for the simple
correlation analysis of X2-Y, the r-value was 0,803, higher than r-table, and the
significance value was 0,000 < 0,05. In the multiple correlation analysis of X1 and
X2 on Y, the r-value was 0,863, higher than the r-table, and the significance value was
0,05. From these results, it can be drawn that there is an effect of parental attention
and student discipline on IPAS learning achievement
