This study aims to investigate the use of Twitter as a tool for Civic Engagement among university students. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the research utilized data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation study, and literature review. Participants consisted of students representing various academic disciplines. Data analysis proceeded through stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that Twitter has a positive influence on students' civic participation. Students use Twitter actively to share information, discuss social and political issues, and engage with the public through comments and tweets. Challenges faced by students in using Twitter for civic engagement include the spread of misinformation. This underscores the importance of students' critical awareness in evaluating social and political information they consume and share. Students also expressed their views on Twitter's role in strengthening democracy within the campus environment. They emphasized the need for ethical considerations in social media use, particularly in political and social discussions.Thus, this research provides insights into how students utilize Twitter to participate in civic engagement, identifies challenges they encounter, and formulates their perspectives on the use of social media in the context of democracy.
