The study titled "Slang Language Variations in Tweets from the Angry Community
on Social Media Twitter from January to March 2024" aims to describe the forms
of slang language variations based on their types and lexicons in Tweets from the
angry community on social media Twitter. This research applies a descriptive
qualitative approach. The data in this study consists of words, phrases, and
sentences of slang language variations found in Tweets from the angry community
on social media Twitter during January-March 2024, while the data source is the
Tweets from the same community during the same period. The data collection uses
the observation method and tapping technique. The method and technique used for
data analysis is the distributional method. The basic technique used is the
Immediate Constituent Analysis (BUL). The method of presenting the data analysis
results uses an informal presentation. Based on the data analysis, it can be
concluded that in the Tweets from the angry community on social media Twitter
during the period of January-March 2024, seven variations of slang language in the
form of jargon, 12 variations of Indonesian Urban slang, two variations in the form
of single-word expressions, 16 variations in the form of abbreviations, nine
variations in the form of acronyms, and two variations in the form of more concise
expressions were found.
