Abstract
This research was motivated by the low interest of students in this Akidah
Akhlak subject. Based on initial observations, researchers saw that there were still
students who did not focus when the teacher delivered the material, chatting with
friends, daydreaming, not answering questions given by the teacher, not doing
school assignments, and also feeling bored when the teacher delivered the material.
Given the importance of this subject in shaping students' morality and character,
this is a problem for educators and educational institutions. Among the various
factors that cause low student involvement in Akidah Akhlak subjects are learning
media that are less interesting and innovative. The purpose of this study was to
determine whether there is an effect of using Quizizz learning media on student
interest in Akidah Akhlak subjects.
This research is a type of quantitative research with a survey approach. The
population and sample in this study were all VIII grade students of SMP
Muhammadiyah Jatilawang, Banyumas Regency, totaling 55 with the sampling
technique using total sampling technique. The data collection techniques are
questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out
using the help of the SPSS version 25 application in the form of testing normality,
linearity, simple linear regression, coefficient determination, and significance test
(t test).
Based on the results of data analysis, the results showed that the t-count
value was 3.537 and the t-table for 55 respondents was 2.006, so 3.537 > 2.006
there was an effect of using quizizz learning media on the interest in learning class
VIII students at Muhammadiyah Jatilawang Junior High School. It can be seen from
the significant value of the table above is 0.001 < 0.05, so there is an effect of using
quizizz learning media on the interest in learning of grade VIII students at
Muhammadiyah Jatilawang Junior High School. It can be concluded that Ha is
accepted and Ho is rejected. The magnitude of the correlation or relationship value
(R) is 0.437. From these results, the coefficient of determination (R square) of 0.191
can be obtained, which means that the effect of the quizizz learning media variable
on the student interest variable is 19%. This value illustrates that the quizizz
learning media variable has an influence of 19% on student interest in Akidah
Akhlak class XIII at SMP Muhammadiyah Jatilawang, while the remaining 81% is
influenced by other factors not explained in this study.
