Abstract
Science and Technology (IPTEK) has developed very rapidly in various fields, one
of which is in the world of education. The development of science requires qualified
human resources to handle every challenge of changing times. One way to
overcome current developments is to improve the quality of the education system
in schools. Education is an important factor in shaping a student's personality.
One of them is education that highly upholds the value of discipline. One way to
instill discipline in student learning is by providing rewards and punishment. One
of the activities related to reward and punishment and discipline at Madrasah
Aliyah Tahfidzul Qur'an Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga is the Tahdir (Night
Apple) activity. This activity aims to evaluate students as well as a means of
conveying information.
This type of research is a type of field research using interview, observation and
documentation data collection techniques. Data analysis uses primary data
through interviews with madrasa heads, teachers, dormitory ustadz and students,
which will then be processed qualitatively using descriptive methods, namely
describing the data obtained and connecting them with each other to obtain a
general conclusion.
His study shows that there is an increase in student discipline, this is evidenced by
the presence of students through the implementation of rewards and punishments
and there is also a trial of eliminating the evening assembly for one day as the
center of punishment, so at that time many students violated the disciplinary rules
intentionally. The form of reward and punishment at the Madrasah Aliyah
Tahfidzul Qur'an Istiqomah SAMBAS Purbalingga is the reward given by the head
of the foundation, the reward and punishment given by the madrasah, the reward
and punishment given by the subject teacher, the reward and punishment given by
the OSIS administrators but supervised by the dormitory ustadz. Then there are
several factors that influence reward and punishment, namely school facilities
factors, student psychological factors, student physiological factors, student
environmental factors, student time management factors and student honesty
factors
