Abstract

Learning Islamic religious education and morals using the pantomime method is one of the efforts so that Indonesian cultural arts are always remembered and known to the nation's children. Pantomime also shapes children's characteristics, making children more creative in understanding the learning of moral beliefs. The character of a child who believes in Allah SWT. The aim of this research is to build children's character, make the learning of moral beliefs active, fun and understandable to students through pantomime drama.
This research uses a qualitative method approach with a type of field research, namely a research method carried out by directly visiting and seeing research objects in the field and on site. which aims to obtain accurate data and information about phenomena. which is being researched. Field research can involve data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, surveys.
This research shows that students' responses to the pantomime method in Islamic religious education subjects can be applied in learning which makes learning more fun, active, creative, and easy for students to understand. The student response was good, very enthusiastic and enthusiastic in learning using the pantomime method. There are supporting factors and inhibiting factors, namely the supporting factors are students who are enthusiastic, enthusiastic, understandable, teachers who are enthusiastic about giving encouragement to students, adequate facilities for learning to take place, then the inhibiting factors are when students are shy, lack discipline and didn't prepare in advance. In the learning process students can understand the material presented by the teacher, students can explore existing scripts, students can practice in pantomime dramas so that they can be easily understood by other students who watch pantomime dramas.
