Abstract
A Classroom Action Research was conducted in Group B1 (second-year students) of TK (Kindergarten) Aisiyah Sidareja, Cilacap Regency. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation of children's independence. The data analysis method employed in this research was qualitative approach. The results indicated that each cycle experienced improvement, with students developing as expected (DE) at 14% out of 14 students, 50% showing progress (P), and 36% still not progressing (NP). Following the implementation of Classroom Action Research in Cycle I, children's success began to increase, with 14% developing very well (DVW), 36% developing as expected (DAE), 36% showing progress (P), and 14% still not progressing. Subsequently, in Cycle II, children's independence through practical life activities increased to 79% developing very well (DVW), 14% developing as expected (DAE), and 7% showing progress (P). Referring to the predetermined success percentage, the enhancement of children's independence through practical life activities has reached a success rate of 79%, indicating the success of improvement measures in Cycle II. As a follow-up for students who have not optimally improved their independence, the researcher provided information for appropriate stimulation to parents. Furthermore, parents are encouraged to motivate their children at home to regularly engage in practical life activities.
