The reseach aims to describe the sociolnguistic language variations found in
Imperfect The Series based on the classification mapping of the characters’s social
factors to the resuting sociolinguistic language variations. The researcher
employed three stages: data collection, analysis, and presentation. In the data
collection stage, the researher used prmary techniques such as tapping and
observation, with non-participatory listening and note-taking as advanced
techiques. During the data analysis stage, the reseacher used the matching method.
In the data presentation stage, the researcher presented the findings infomlly usin
tehnical terminology. The sosiolinguistic variants found in the two episoed of the
film include arolect, slang, vulgar, colloquial, and jargon. The result showed 24
data points regarding sociolinguistic variants, including 1 data point.
