Abstract

This study aimed to Enhance Fine Motor Skills through Craft Activities in Class A1 (first-year students) at TK The Integrated Islamic Kindergarten) Mutiara Umat Majenang. This was a Classroom Action Research a in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings. The subjects of this research were the children of class A1, comprising 13 male students and 5 female students. The data collection methods included observation interviews, and documentation. The research consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation observation, and reflection. The data were analyzed by utilizing descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the data analysis in the initial study showed that out of 18 children, 14 (78%) showed Initial Progress (IP), and (22%) were Developing as Expected (DE). In Cycle 1, out of 18 children, 8 (45%) showed Initial Progress (IP). (50%) were Developing as Expected (DE), and 1 (5%) showed Excellent Progress. In Cycle II, out of 18 children 2(11%) showed Initial Progress (IP), 6 (34%) were Developing as Expected (DE), and 10 (55%) showed Excellent Progress. Thus, there was an enhancement in fine motor skills from the initial study by 22%, in which the enhancement was 55% and 89% in Cycle I and in Cycle II, respectively.
