Abstract

This thesis reviews the development of STEAM-based ROBO-DI media to improve
4Cs in elementary school students. The place of research activities is SD
Muhammadiyah Sudagaran Wonosobo. ROBO-DI is an acronym for Robotics
Differentiated Instruction learning media. ROBO-DI media is designed to adapt
learning based on students' needs (Differentiated Instruction) based on STEAM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). The method in this
research is included in the category of research and development (R&D). Sugiyono
(2018) in his book states that R&D is a research method used to produce products,
to test their level of effectiveness. The model used is ADDIE (Analyze, Design,
Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The ROBO-DI media has been proven to be
feasible and effective in improving 4C skills, as evidenced by the increase in the
percentage graph of the 4C skills rubric assessment in class V of SD
Muhammadiyah Sudagaran Wonosobo. The use of ROBO-DI media has a
significant effect in improving 4C skills in fifth grade students at SD
Muhammadiyah Sudagaran Wonosobo. This is proven by the average or mean
value in the experimental class posttest of 83.54 and 65.00 in the control class
posttest. This value can be interpreted as the experimental class average being
higher when compared to the control class average. Based on the output of the
Independent sample T-test, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05,
so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average student learning
outcomes using ROBO-DI.
