The data collection technique employed semi-structured interviews. Four students from English Language Education Study Programs in one of the private universities in Indonesia participated in this study. This study found that the students can provide their perceptions regarding plagiarism. It is shown that the four students have an understanding of plagiarism and their experience of committing plagiarism when working on the thesis. The students understand the definition of plagiarism, the data reveals that copy-paste is the type of plagiarism that students do more often.
