Abstract
This study is entitled "Efforts to Improve Children's Fine Motor Skills through Finger Painting Activities in Class B Children at Diponegoro 132 Ledug Kindergarten". The purpose of this researcher is to determine efforts to improve children's fine motor skills through finger painting activities in grade B children at Diponegoro 132 Ledug Kindergarten.
This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of two cycles with each cycle consisting of three meetings. The problem-solving steps consist of four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The research data was obtained by direct observation, interview, and documentation methods for the research subjects, namely students of Diponegoro Kindergarten 132 Ledug Even Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year with a total of 13 students. The 13 learners consisted of 8 male learners and 5 female learners. Then the data of this research results are analyzed gradually, namely by using qualitative descriptive analysis of the percentage of the initial study, cycle I and cycle II.
After analysis, the results of this study showed that there was a significant improvement in the development of children's fine motor skills. In the initial condition, students who have not developed (BB) as many as 5 students (45%), students begin to develop (MB) as many as 3 students (20%), develop according to expectations (BSH) as many as 3 students (20%) and develop very well (BSB) as many as 2 students (15%). After carrying out the first cycle, 3 students (20%) were not yet developed (BB), began to develop (MB) as many as 3 students (20%), developed according to expectations (BSH) as many as 5 students (45%), and developed very well (BSB) as many as 2 students (15%). In cycle II students who have not developed are no longer there (0%), then for students who are starting to develop (MB) become 3 students (20%), for students who develop according to expectations (BSH) to 6 students (50%), and develop very well (BSB) to 4 students (30%). For this reason, there is an increase in children's fine motor skills from the initial study, cycle I and cycle II students as much as 80% consisting of students who develop according to expectations 50% and develop very well 30%. Thus the results of this study show a success rate in cycle II = 80% > of 75% completeness limit. In other words, the researcher did well.
